GIS and GPS / GDM2000 and Garmin GPS 76csx
« on: June 08, 2010, 04:22:36 PM »
Hi all,

1) What is GDM2000? and is it acceptable now for Malaysian map projection?

2) I'm using the Garmin GPS 76csx and in the Unit/Map datum, there is no MRSO projection. So, how and where to download the MRSO for that GPS? Before this I used the WGS 1984 as the map datum for that, however, after converted the points to MRSO (in Arcmap) the points are not match with the base map (i.e. also in MRSO).

Hope you all can reply. Thanks very much.

ArcGIS 8.x / 9.x Core Software / MapSource

Hi all,

Example:

This is the RSO unit
N 475220
E 678646

OR

in MapSource, the Garmin format is QU 475220 678646 and:

Grid: West Malaysian Grid
Datum: Kertau 1984

My question is what is the meaning of 'QU' and how to determine that?
This is when i need to use 'Go to position' tool.

Ok, Thanks all.

« on: February 04, 2009, 08:07:45 PM »
Hi all,

I have a topo map with the RSO projection but the x and y coordinate was in degree minutes (decimal degree).

If i want to georeference this map in meter, how to convert that coordinate (decimal degree) to meter to match with the RSO projection of this map.

Hello,

I have read about the article of the 'Subject'.

May I ask for more explanation on FME ? I know it was not a product from ESRI.

Is it an extension of ArcGIS ? and is it compatible with ArcGIS 9.2?

Can i get some example of documentation on how this application is used from the internet? (suggested link)
