Title: safe navigation using gis?

i'm doing my thesis titled SAFE NAVIGATION FOR SHIP USING GIS SOLUTION. i'm doing it in realtime where any changes in tidal will be monitored by the gis system. i'm looking for any advice on what i'm about to do..

Are you doing  PhD or Master?are you doing your thesis under Grant ?If yes, you probably have sufficient fund to help you on your thesis.

actually this is only bachelor degree level thesis..what do you mean by 'doing your thesis under Grant'?

is there any possibility to have the bathymetric information for this safe navigation system by using remote sensing image..?
