Hello..I have downloaded a cartogramcreator.mxt from ArcGIS script..however, the script (ArcMap template) cannot be run bcoz of some command problem in VB..do you have any suggestion? I just want to convert the choropleth map to cartogram for easily view of data. For example, population data. :)

Hi,

Can you please send me the link for the template. I believe that either it is because you need ArcInfo or because you need the file to be compiled under 9.3 and it has been compiled under 9.2 . Or perhaps it is using some extensions you don't have.

Thanks

Hi,

I have taken a look at the pre-requisites which are available here:

http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=14090

and  it says:

NOTE: This script ONLY works with ArcGIS 9.0, 9.1 or 9.2 with any license level - including ArcView (I finally had a chance to test it). It will not work with any earlier version of ArcGIS.

In other words, perhaps it is because you are using ArcGIS 9.3 (?). The way to work around it is to access the codes in 9.2 export the forms and the basic files than importing them back into 9.3 .

I hope it is not like speaking French to you  :o

Hi Fazlin,

I have exported all the modules and forms into separate files. Just open your AG 9.3 and press Alt + F11 to open the VBA environment and then import them all one by one.
Rename your project as cartogramcreator.mxt. This should do the trick.

You can download the files here.

I hope this would work with you.
