Hello there,

Google Maps is one of the most commonly used map services on earth with its fairly recent and frequent updates in Malaysia and the rest of the world. Even though other products exist such as Bing Maps from Microsoft, a much younger service with less maps ...

What makes Google Maps more attractive is the fact that not only it can provide the normal users like you and me with maps, satellite/aerial photos and 3D terrain but you can also embed this free service (unless you want to use it for vehicle tracking - of course you might consider forking out 10,000 USD yearly fee out of you pocket  Tongue) into you own application.

What people do not know however is that those KML layers which form the map we customize on our websites are not processed on our local server, however the data is taken to Google's servers than processed to appear as an image on your page.

In other terms, making easier for Google to harvest data if they were bad. I am sure they are not doing such things.

One of the cases is the ironic case of masmaps.org, were the owner of the site is asking his users to verify the data (they have been collecting) and displaying them on Google maps.

 Huh The ostrich thought wrong.

I hope this would help.
