Hi Listers, My problem is solved. Thank you Rick Petrecca, Scott Webb, and Mike Soracco for your suggestions and aid. They got me thinking in the right direction, and that was to locate just where my concocked script was going. Turns out the "ViewToggleEditing" portion I used towards the end of my script had all its conditions met to exit, which it did, and thus skipped the rest of my script. Once that portion was moved to the end, the rest of the script had a chance to execute and finish as desired, and it did. I will finish documenting this script today, and will see if ESRI will add it to the free scripts. Although I hard wired the two variables to be changed, they can easily be changed in the script to those you are modifying. I do have a version that lets you choose the fields to modify from dialog boxes with drop-down lists, but using it takes time that could be better spent on editing if editing always involves the same fields. If you don't see this on ESRI's site, and would still like a copy, just email me. Thanks again for your time. Ciao! Jeff -- Dr. Geoffrey A.
