My Original post: Dear List, Does anyone know how to create a 3D CAD file (.dxf??) from Arcview??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Rich Gleason I ended up trying Paul's Arcv2CAD software and it worked perfectly!!! Eric Gakstatter also sent a response that I have not tried yet, but will post when I do. It can either take a shapefile attribute (e.g. 'Elevation') to use as the Z coordinate, or it also directly translates 3D shapefiles. It is a DOS program. I use it frequently. The drawback is that the layer in AutoCAD does not reflect the theme name so I bring in each theme individually to keep the data organized. Attached is shapedxf.exe if you cant find yours. Eric Gakstatter
