Dear list members, to work with the GridIO library from ArcView Spatial Analyst you have to link your application with avgridio.lib and - to avoid an 'exiting' while calling GridIOSetup() - the bin32 directory of ArcView (e.g. C:\ESRI\AV_GIS30\ARCVIEW\BIN32) has to be included in the environment variable 'path' within the autoexec.bat. After setting the path variable appropriately the program runs if you start it outside (!) MS-Developer Studio 6.0 - within the development environment I doesn't work, even if you've set the path (for what ever reason...). Thanks to Juergen Rusch from Wasy Germany for the decisive hint with the path variable and all other list members for their suggestions.
